Building a Bakery Menu preview app which allows users to design cakes on the app and show the preview of the designed cake so that customers and baker get the correct understanding of the customized cake and also strong filter out options for the customers who are allergic to some food items.

Key Objectives

User is allergic to few food items/ingredients
User cannot design cake on their own and cannot see the preview
Users cannot save their favourite food items in app
Users cannot order daily bakery supplies as they have hectic schedule

Goals

Create a user-friendly platform for browsing and purchasing a wide range of bakery items, with a focus on cakes
Implement a customization feature for special occasion cakes
Ensure reliable delivery and quality preservation of baked goods
Offering an intuitive interface for browsing and ordering bakery items, with high-quality images and detailed descriptions
Providing a cake customization tool that allows users to design their perfect cake
Strong filter out option is required in app
‘Design your own’ feature to be incorporated in app
App to remember the favorite orders to re-order
App should have feature to book orders of daily supplies

USER STORY and PERSONA

Vidisha 34, Architect

Vidisha is an architect

who needs a bakery app which comprises ‘images’ and ‘ingredients’ list’ of the food items and ‘Design your own’ feature

She needs to design cake by herself and wish to see preview on app to avoid confusion.

Frustrations: No proper ingredients info in apps, bakery items get sold out with no notifications, Incorrect / missing customized cake orders.

Goals: To make sure she eats non allergic food, to arrange her favourite food items before they sold out and she gets correct customized cake order.

Kevin 45, Business man

Kevin is a business-man

who needs a bakery app which can remember his favourites and order daily fresh bread and eggs on its own]

because [he has a hectic schedule and do not get time to order and pick up daily necessities]

Goals: To make sure he can list morning bakery items and plan activities accordingly, to make sure he gets notification when the order is ready , so that he can save his precious time.

Frustrations: Its very annoying to take out time in the morning to get fresh bread and eggs , standing in queue. to wait for special orders and wait for pick up.
